Volunteer & Support

Community volunteers
Wilmot Botanical Gardens receives support of various kinds from community members, including volunteer hours and plant donations.

Wilmot Botanical Gardens receives minimal maintenance assistance from the University of Florida and upkeep depends largely on volunteers and staff. Wilmot Botanical Gardens has survived and continues to thrive due to its dedicated volunteers, who contribute in many ways and bring a variety of skill sets. There are several types of jobs that need to be performed, including indoor work in the greenhouse, assistance with semi-annual plant sale events and garden and lawn maintenance within our 4.8-acre property. Volunteers with all levels of gardening experience are welcome. Discover how you too can participate in supporting Wilmot Botanical Gardens!

In addition, consider making a donation or gift to support the restoration and enhancement efforts at Wilmot Botanical Gardens. Wilmot Botanical Gardens is supported almost entirely by grants and donations from individuals who value our history and mission. Learn more about giving options!
